The AANS/CNS Section on Tumors Research Subcommittee organized incredibly successful afternoon breakout sessions at the AANS/CNS Section on Tumors Symposium in Washington, DC, on September 8-9, 2023.

The three sessions were entitled:

• Navigating the FDA for IND/IDE
• Establishing a Translational Research Effort as an Early Career Neurosurgeon
• Collaboration Across Institutions.

The sessions were well attended, highly interactive and received outstanding positive feedback from participants. We look forward to expanding on these efforts during the tumor programming at the AANS Annual Meeting.

The AANS/CNS Section on Tumors continues its collaboration with the NREF is reviewing and supporting research grants. We are grateful to the section’s members who volunteer their time to review the applications. We thank the section’s sponsors for their continued support. We look forward to celebrating the NREF2024-2025 awardees at the 2024 AANS Annual Meeting.
