Communications Committee

Chair: Kimberly Hoang, MD
Co-Chair: Claire Karekezi, MD
Members: Maria Huda, MD, and Aaron Cohen-Gadol, MD

The Communications Committee continues its work of promoting the events, guidelines and publications of the Joint Section and amplifying the academic output of members. We have exciting news in a new Threads (the test-based corollary of Instagram) account that we encourage everyone to follow!

The committee promotes the “Headlines,” “Future leaders” and “Neurosurgical Oncology Fellowship” series, panel discussions, publications, speaking engagements and talks that Tumor Section members have participated in, as well as recent guideline publications. The committee regularly promotes important publications from a wide variety of journals, but particularly from the Journal of Neuro-Oncology (JNO) as we have always done. Our Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn accounts continue to grow in membership and engagement from our last update. We will continue to monitor our outreach. Please remember to like or share content you see from our channels, as this allows us to reach a more diverse audience through the people that follow you.

Would you like your work, publications, guidelines or events related to brain tumor advocacy or research promoted? Remember to tag us on Twitter (@NSTumorSection), Instagram (nstumorsection), Threads, Facebook and LinkedIn and we will get your content amplified! Also, you can reach out to either kbhoang@emory.edu or clairekarekezi@gmail.com with your content and we will directly post. We are looking forward to promoting all your work in 2024.
