The theme for the AANS Annual Meeting this year, What Matters, provides an opportunity for introspection on the future of neurosurgery. The program contains many educational opportunities, including emerging options for glioma patients and new considerations in extra-axial tumor surgery.

In line with the Education Committee’s goal to provide opportunities throughout the career continuum: We have started a webinar series featuring CAST approved neurosurgical oncology fellowship. Thus far, we have hosted two sessions and featured six programs. Our next webinar will be on March 5 and feature three more programs from various geographical regions. We hope these webinars provide trainees with an understanding of the breadth and depth of fellowship training currently available.

In 2024, we will work with CNS Nexus to update and expand the oncology cases available in their portal. We are the first section to officially partner with CNS Nexus. We hope to ensure residents have the most up-to-date oncology information at their fingertips.
