While our management of CNS tumors regularly incorporates the use of established and new tech, the availability of guidelines for such can lag for years after introduction based on paucity of published data. Similarly, new applications for existing tech continue to evolve, often requiring a re-examination of previously vetted processes. As the gold standard for new devices and agents will remain clinical trial investigation, such efforts are often preceded by the early adoption of new technology by a relatively small group of clinicians.

The mission of our subcommittee is to provide a reliable compilation of current and emerging tech as it relates to tumor treatment and care delivery. From this, our membership can identify the early adopters and evaluate the potential of new tech to be advanced within the field. With dedicated content experts in several areas of neurosurgical oncology, we aim to share our findings via webinars, review publications and across the Tumor Section membership by direct engagement at the CNS, AANS and Tumor Satellite meeting.
