The 16th biennial Section on Tumor Symposium will take place on September 8-9, 2023, in Washington, DC, immediately before the CNS, at the Washington Convention Center.

The meeting theme “Brain and Spine Recurrent Tumors: The Neurosurgeon’s Role,” highlights the importance of our subspecialty at the time of recurrences. The first day will focuses on Prediction of Recurrence and Treatment Response in Gliomas and Meningiomas. Our invited keynote speaker David Louis will highlight the importance of the WHO tumor classification at the time of recurrence. The second day will focus on Intersection of Science and Surgery at Recurrence of Brain and Spine Metastases. Our invited keynote speaker Eva Galanis will highlight clinical trials considerations at the time of recurrence.

Each segment will feature invited lectures, interactive case discussions and abstract presentations selected from the top raking submitted work.
