Hosted by the NREF
We are thrilled to be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Women in Neurosurgery with our Women in Neurosurgery Celebration, on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 7 pm at the JW Marriot L.A. Live. Join us as we honor the history and achievements of women in the field of neurosurgery. The Neurosurgery Research & Education Foundation (NREF) will host cocktails and light dinner with entertainment provided by Dr. Will Flanary (AKA Dr. Glacomflecken), an ophthalmologist and comedian known for his medical satire skits on social media. This event will focus on honoring the work of two extraordinary women, Dr. Shelly Timmons and Dr. Karin Murasko, who have been leaders not only in their fields of neurotrauma and pediatric neurosurgery, but for our incredible WINS community as a whole. The keynote address will be delivered by Candy Crawley, an award-winning journalist who has served as CNN chief political correspondent.
Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to celebrate with the WINS community at the 2023 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting! Tickets are $150. Net proceeds will support the NREF’s research and education passion to train, inspire and encourage female neurosurgeons to realize their goals and advance the profession.
