WINS hosted a virtual happy hour event on Thursday, February 3, 2022 in conjunction with celebrating Nation Women’s Physician Day on the same occasion. The event was held virtually and included a welcome by Dr. Ellen Air, followed by a tribute to Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell. Dr. Sarah Woodrow introduced the second part of the Happy Hour event which featured Lynsey Curren, a wine sommelier, and her team giving an overview of various aspects of wine tastings. The event then continued with breakout groups allowing participants to join smaller rooms for discussion while enjoying a beverage of choice.
The event was well attended. WINS hosted fifty-six medical students, residents, and fellows attending in honor of National Women’s Physicians Day at the virtual happy hour. 
It gave participants the opportunity to virtually “mingle,” see familiar faces and make new acquaintances and friends while connecting with the greater community. Taking part in the Happy Hour allowed for networking, mentoring, and enjoyment in a relaxed atmosphere.
