Jonathan Miller, MD, FAANS; Julie Pilitsis, MD, PhD, FAANS; and I have been working with CNS Annual Meeting leaders to program the S&F content for the CNS 2020 Annual Meeting. Content from our field is well-represented at the meeting. The program is still being finalized, but will likely include: 1) symposia on epilepsy, movement disorders, and new concepts in functional neurosurgery; 2) a sunrise session on DBS for OCD; 3) lunch seminars on DBS for emerging indications and robotics; 4) afternoon section sessions with invited talks and abstract presentations; 5) case-based discussion sessions on epilepsy surgery and psychiatric neurosurgery; 6) an international symposium; 7) a dinner seminar on high-intensity focused ultrasound applications; 8) a late-breaking abstracts session; and 9) a poster session.
Update: As announced on June 10, 2020, the CNS Annual Meeting in Miami has been cancelled and is being merged with the 2021 Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas. The exact plans for 2020 content remain to be determined.
