During the event, Dr. Ellen Air, WINS Chair, spoke to the group welcoming everyone to the event and also taking the opportunity to introduce the winners of the new CNS Foundation Future Women Leaders in Neurosurgery Scholarship, Dr. Beverly Cheserem, Dr. Kimberly Hoang, and Dr. Sylvia Shitsama. The event was very well attended. Attendees included some of the original founding members of the group including Dr. Deborah Benzel, Dr. Karin Muraszko, and Dr. Gail Rosseau. The group was diverse and included medical students, residents, as wll as young faculty.
