Moving into 2022, the AANS Young Neurosurgeon\u2019s Committee (YNC), under new chair Dr. Walavan Sivakumar, has continued to position itself for success in a post-pandemic academic environment.\u00a0 Leaning on the success of its Instagram account (@Youngneuros) and Twitter account (@Youngneuros), the YNC has continued to gain followers as the group become a leader in the creation and promotion of excellent web-based educational content appealing to young neurosurgeons and medical students globally. The group has continued to promote its 2021 webinar content covering a range of topics targeting young neurosurgeons and medical students and focused on developing a career as a neurosurgeon. Dr. Sivakumar continues to strengthen the alliance between the AANS\/CNS Joint Tumor section and the YNC. In particular, the Chris Philips Honor Your Mentor Fund \u2013 an NREF grant aimed at advancing medical student mentorship, research, education and participation in organized neurosurgery, particularly for students who would otherwise lack access continues to secure donations growing significantly from last year! As safe in-person meetings resume this year. We are all looking forward to The AANS\/CNS Tumor Section Young Neurosurgeons Reception at the upcoming AANS meeting in Philadelphia, PA. Scheduled for Saturday, April 30th<\/sup> in Philadelphia, PA, the reception will feature a keynote presentation by Dr. Isaac Yang.<\/p>\n
