The meeting was highly successful with an unprecedented number of registrants five folds higher than in previous years.\u00a0 Congratulations and thanks to the 2023 meeting chair Dr. <strong>Gelareh Zadeh<\/strong>, co-chairs Dr. <strong>Chetan Bettegowda<\/strong> and Dr. <strong>Pablo Recinos<\/strong>, as well as section chair Dr. <strong>Isabelle Germano<\/strong>. Their dedication and hard work were instrumental in orchestrating such a successful event.<\/p>\n<p>Highlights of the symposium included inspiring keynote speeches. Dr. <strong>David Louis<\/strong> delivered a motivational speech on the implications of the updated WHO tumor classification at the time of recurrence, while Dr. <strong>Evanthia Galanis<\/strong> provided a comprehensive overview of clinical trial options during recurrence.<\/p>\n<p>Out of a breakthrough number of submitted abstracts, more than 100 were selected for scientific presentations, including 37 oral presentations with published abstracts in <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.lww.com\/neurosurgery\/toc\/2024\/04001\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Clinical Neurosurgery, April 2024<\/em><\/a><em>. <\/em>The meeting spotlighted critical areas of tumor recurrence and emphasized the neurosurgeon&#8217;s pivotal role in addressing gliomas, skull base tumors, brain and spine metastases and recurrent tumors. The Section on Tumors is grateful to its <strong>industry and philanthropy partners<\/strong> for their continued support who made this event even more successful.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the inaugural <strong>Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)<\/strong> two-day course was a resounding success. This course facilitated valuable integration and exchange on key topics surrounding the roles and dynamics of APPs in neurosurgical oncology, as well as effective management strategies.<\/p>\n<p>The Anniversary Gala highlighted the well-deserved <strong>Section&#8217;s Career Awardees<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>The Mark Rosenblum Distinguished Service Award \u2014 Dr. <strong>Roberta Glick<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Charles B. Wilson Excellence Award \u2014 Dr. <strong>Linda Liau<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Andrew T. Parsa Mentorship Award \u2014 Dr. <strong>E.
