CNS 2019 Meeting Preview

The 2019 CNS Annual Meeting is coming October 19-23, and the Tumor Section has been designing an exciting and informative program with varied formats. Leading up to the main meeting sessions, we have several technique and technology oriented courses on Saturday and Sunday (October 19-20), including The Brain Tumor Update, Advanced Functional Mapping and 3-D Anatomy for the Neurosurgeon, Emerging Technologies in Neurosurgery and Modern Approaches to Stereotactic Radiosurgery.

As part of the main meeting, we will hold two Tumor Section Sessions, which will focus on 1) emerging concepts in the management of brain metastases and 2) complications in tumor surgery, both operative and legal. We have also planned two Sunrise Guideline Sessions to discuss state-of-the art approaches to glioblastoma and brain metastases.

Lunch and dinner sessions will offer further educational sessions on an assortment of topics:

Dinner Seminars

  • Navigation and Robotics: Fad or Future?
  • Advances in LITT

Lunch Seminars

  • Acoustic Neuromas: Current Management Strategies
  • Harnessing the Immune System to Treat Brain Tumors
  • Management of Pituitary Adenomas and Parasellar Pathology

As in past years, top-scoring tumor abstracts from faculty and trainees will be highlighted throughout the meeting in lectures and poster sessions. We look forward to seeing you in San Francisco this fall!
