The 2020 AANS Tumor Section scientific program was developed to mirror the AANS theme of The World of Neurosurgery. Our two tumor section symposia will highlight glioblastoma clinical trials and radiosurgery equipoise when assessing brain tumors. Sessions are titled, “Tipping the scale: Towards positive trials to treat glioblastoma” and “Tipping the scale: where does neurosurgery have clinical equipoise with radiosurgery or systemic therapy?”
Glioblastoma speakers will address topics ranging from model limitations from pre-clinical data to lessons learned from failed clinical trials. Radiosurgery speakers will address treatment considerations for cranial pathologies, including solitary brain metastases, glomus tumors and small meningiomas/schwanommas.
We hope to have a diverse and informative session for the April 2020 program in Boston.
