ASSFN Biennial Meeting Committee

The ASSFN Biennial Meeting will be held June 20-23, 2020, in Boston. This meeting promises to continue the tradition of featuring the best clinical and basic research efforts of stereotactic and functional neurosurgery. For the first time, ASSFN is partnering with a neurological society to encourage cross-disciplinary discussion and learning. We have decided to partner with the American Epilepsy Society (AES) for this meeting. The meeting will therefore feature topics related to surgical epilepsy, including invited talks from epileptologists and case discussions prepared by epileptologist-neurosurgeon pairs. Scientific programming for ASSFN 2020 will still include Plenary and Parallel sessions covering innovative developments in movement disorders, pain, psychiatric neurosurgery and radiosurgery. Through this combination of programming, we will be able to offer content that allows our membership to experience the best of S/F neurosurgery, while also helping us foster collaborations with our neurological colleagues. We will be significantly expanding the number of travel awards from submitted abstracts and poster awards from the ever-popular poster session. Please mark your calendars and register for the meeting! The meeting chair is Past President of ASSFN Emad Eskandar. The SPC chair is Sameer Sheth and SPC members are Rees Cosgrove, Guy McKhann, Wael Asaad, Sharona Ben-Haim, Jonathan Miller, Casey Halpern, Ellen Air and Andrew Cole.
